Soul Culture featured Raury about a year ago when he was first lighting up the somewhat new genre of indie hip-hop.
Last week, Raury dropped his new track Butterfly and pulled a Weeknd before the Weeknd pulled the Weeknd (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, log in to Twitter or read this article).

Bye, Bye Beautiful Locs.
I absolutely love this song – so peaceful and empowering in Raury’s typical fashion. The lyrics depict Raury’s struggle with depression and suicide as he fought to grab the attention of the media and fans.
Sometimes, I wish I could be a butterfly
Flying by, flying high
Sometimes, I have visions of suicide
Take it away, help me erase
Grab your morning coffee or matcha tea and take a listen.
