CULTURE CLIPS: Lil Trapanese Captures Chicago’s Underground Hip-Hop Culture

Screen Shot 2017-05-24 at 7.01.24 PM

Self-prescribed “DJ + picture taker,” Lil’ Trapanese (Inju Kim by government) is sharing the underground rap scene with the world through her portrait photography. Most notably, she’s completely self-taught – reinforcing the do-it-yourself attitude of today’s artistry.

And clearly it’s paying off. Just yesterday, Trap announced her upcoming FADER feature, consistent bookings, her first big campaign and interview and framed prints in a cinema studio. It’s only the beginning.

Take a look at a few of my favorite Lil Trapanese shots, and be sure to show your support by purchasing prints online.
