Duffle Bag Buru is a clear stand out in comparison to other musicians arising from the Chicago trenches. His sound is nested somewhere between the early 2000s slow Houston drawl and today’s Chicago grime and drill. Tracks like Left Wrist and K-Scope demonstrate Buru’s versatility as a solo artist – they sound like completely different hip-hop genres, all whilst reflecting the artist’s musical exploration.
