TBT: Bringin’ Back The Cool Kids

Just yesterday, Chuck Inglish announced via Twitter the long-awaited reunion of the duo The Cool Kids.

I called Mikey and realized nothing would feel better than us being the originators again.

The Cool Kids are back forreal.

Any rap fan in the 2000s can own up to the coolness of The Cool Kids and their seamless role in hip-hop culture at the time. Needless to say, Chuck’s twitterstorm was a happy moment for all of us!

We really felt like we hadn't really finished what we started.

They took our styles and ran off.

We coming back for it all.

I had really lost my mind this summer.

In honor of the group’s reunion, here is one of my favorite moments from The Cool Kids.

I loved learning more about my favorite artists by watching interviews online – I guess not much has changed. This video really showed Chuck and Mikey’s personalities – and highlighted their passion for being individuals and making music for themselves and their fans… not the industry.
